Current River Career Center is a progressive, standards driven school with a proactive approach that prepares all students for the workforce ahead. With these goals in mind we offer the rigorous career training to our students.
At Current River Career Center, excellence in instruction is our primary goal. For at – risk and special needs students, we follow specific academic intervention strategies to place and keep them on track. All students are prepared to enter the world of work immediately after graduation if need be.
All of our students are taught to be competitive and successful. To ensure that we deliver the highest quality instruction to our students we continually explore tried and tested curricula and encourage professional development. We are also utilizing Peer Mediation, Conflict Resolution, and Negotiation programs to teach students about community responsibility.
At CRCC, there is a commitment to excellence, innovative instructional approaches, and sense of community. We look forward to creating an active and supportive parent body, all of whom are focused on building the skills necessary for our students to reach the highest standards. We foresee our school as a community where all members, students, staff and parents support one another. We accept the responsibility for guaranteeing the right of every student to an education that helps him/her to develop his/her own talents and skills, while providing a solid academic and vocational/technical foundation.
Our ultimate goal is to provide quality education, which meets the needs of all students to live rich, full and productive lives in the twenty – first century as informed citizens of a multicultural, democratic society. Due to the excellent and comprehensive nature of our instruction, we provide all students with many options after they graduate. Most of our students continue their education in college, or in a technical or business school; many of them go into fields for which they were trained here at CRCC. In addition, we are constantly striving to inculcate in all students the responsibility of being good citizens and sensitive, caring human beings. We endeavor to address not only the academic and vocational interests of our students, but the whole person with attendant multicultural and multifaceted dimensions. The school community’s realization of this mission evolves through the collaborative efforts of all constituents: faculty and staff, students, parents, community partners, businesses and academic institutes. It is our belief that we serve the broad community by serving all of our students first.
