| What is vocational education?: |
Vocational program offerings are highly specialized and are designed to enable students to gain skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to secure initial employment and/or advancement in specific occupational areas. Vocational programs maybe short-term, one year, or two years in length for adults and secondary students.
The vocational school perceives education not only as preparation to earn a living, but as a way of life itself, responsible to both the individual and the community. It is held that each individual, regardless of economic and social status, should be provided the opportunity to develop occupational, social, and personal skills to the fullest.
